FIRST TIME! This is my first time thinking about Black Friday as a chance to restock some basics at home rather than buying superfluous gifts, as I am dramatically streamlining gift giving. This is my first delivery. I went back to my notes to document the savings for future reference. I realize that there is the possibility of in-store purchases costing even less, but going out to “shop” is limited. For this “season” of life, purchasing some items this way is helpful. I actually tried to estimate how often we might use these items in a year, but also take into consideration the amount of storage available. One of Dad’s garage cabinets has been taken over for “back stock” or “supplies” or “store”, so that is the space available. In the cabinet the top shelf is TP and the bottom shelf is PT (paper towels) and Kleenex and sanitizer/wipes. The in between shelves are for everything else. I believe these will fit, though I will put Carnation in some jumbo zip bags just for added protection. Those four boxes are purely a guess, but it is a place to start. I used my Blitz pages to document my purchases and savings, but I did not notice until after delivery that my notes said a 40% discount is a maybe and 50% is a purchase. I got 40% on dishwasher tabs, but not the rest. They were good, but not quite to 40%. I’ve not tried this with Costco. Does Costco deliver? Dad can do Costco sometimes, but it is much more challenging than the regular grocery store. If they deliver and save me money, I’m there! Does anyone have Costco tips for me?
